Our Elect Lady

Evangelist/Missionary W. Danette Green is the wife of Pastor Donald E. Green Sr. They have been married since April 9th, 1983. Under the divine direction of God, she became the First Lady of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, in 2011. Her passion is to love God with all her heart, mind, body, and soul, and to be all that God has said she is.

Lady Green accepted her call into the ministry in 1999. While her husband served in the military, God made it possible for her to travel to several places in the United States and overseas, doing the work of God. While actively serving the local church, she has held various offices, including Assistant District Missionary, President of YWCC, Ministers' Wives, Choir President and Director, and Praise and Worship Leader, among others.

First Lady Green currently holds the office of President of the Women’s Department at St. Mark MBC. She assists in teaching the Bible study class, Sunday School classes for junior and young adults, and the Adult class. She was instructed by her previous Pastor, the late Bishop A. Ladell Thomas Sr., in Killeen, Texas, to undergo training to become a licensed Evangelist/Missionary, which she received in 2001.

Lady Danette attended Kalamazoo Community College with continued education at Davenport. She also furthered her education at Cornerstone Theological Seminary.

Lady Green is the mother of three children: NaStashia, Donald Jr., and Sha’Kira Green, and daughter-in-love Shannon. She has five grandchildren: Justin, Bria, Kai, Ellysia, and Titus, and two recently adopted daughters, A’Raya and Gionna. All praise be to God.
